Chapter 1 - Introduction

Welcome to the first chapter of the Young Person’s Guide to Arduino. The Arduino microcontroller is a small blue circuit board that connects to your PC. The book has lessons on how to program the Arduino so that it can control the pre-wired circuit board. The neat thing about the Arduino is that there are infinite uses for it. It is the #1 controller for robotics projects. The whole purpose of my kit is to get you interested in exploring all the different things you can do with an Arduino board. After you work through my kit, I suggest other books and materials to continue increasing the difficulty and complexity of projects you can do with the Arduino. To give you a little idea what kinds of things you can do with an Arduino, I have shared a few YouTube videos below that show you some more advanced projects.
